Dear Colleagues,
Please consider joining the National Debate Coaches Association or renewing your membership to the NDCA if you have yet to do so for this year. The NDCA Board is in the process of updating its membership rolls for 2004-2005.

The NDCA is the professional organization dedicated to supporting debate coaches at all levels. What does the NDCA do for you? The short answer includes:

- The NDCA provides scholarships for coaches to attend summer debate workshops.

- The NDCA provides a website with comprehensive resources for coaches in the form of tournament calendars, a huge Judge Philosophy Form databases and classroom teaching materials.

- The NDCA provides a formal institution to represent and be an advocacy group for debate coaches.

However, I think the following question is more pertinent: what are members of the debate community doing to support the debate coaching profession? Annual membership to the NDCA is one opportunity to help nurture our community by supporting the professional organization dedicated to supporting coaches.

I encourage annual members to consider a life-time membership to the NDCA. Since much of our fundraising relies on the ability to document a thriving and engaged membership roll, life-time membership is a great way to support current NDCA objectives. Life-time membership to the NDCA is $250. A list of the life-time NDCA members is at the bottom of this e-mail.
